What is this research about?

This study explores the experiences of international students and graduates in Latvia —
especially those from non-EU countries — as they transition from university into the labour market. Our goal is to understand the real-world challenges and opportunities they face, and to find ways to support their integration into Latvian society. The findings will help inform future policy and practical solutions.

- Identify the main barriers and enablers for international graduates to stay and work in Latvia
- Understand how students, graduates, and employers perceive existing policies and systems
- Provide clear, data-driven recommendations to improve support and integration efforts
- Raise public and institutional awareness about the potential of international graduates in Latvia

who are we targeting?

- Current international students (enrolled in full-time programms)
- Graduates (remaining in Latvia or departed)
- Employers with experience hiring international graduates
